…my only criticism of this prototype release was that you can see that sometimes he has to use his thumbnail to scroll…and then he gives up & uses the keypad…BUT, don’t forget folks, it’s still a prototype!! The final version of the software will make or break the N97, NOT the CPU. Compare the speed of a laptop running Windows VIsta compared to Ubuntu linux on the same hardware & you’ll get what I mean, I hope!!!

Agree, the processor is not that important. I like that it’ll consume less power so I won’t have to recharge it as often. Still, I hope the suggested prices will go down since a few phones with higher end hardware are cheaper than this one.
Yes, there are some higher end specs especially as the N97 ‘only’ has a 5MP camera…but don’t forget, it’s not just the pixels that are important, it’s the lens, and even more important the backend image processing that makes all the difference with photos. Admittedly, you might not be able to blow the pictures up so large, but most of the time it won’t matter.
In terms of other hardware – I think the N97 is right at the top…what are your thoughts?
